UX strategy and UI design

Project background 

A facilities booking app created for a serviced housing development with gym, pool and concierge. Previously bookings for the gym and pool had to be created in person at the concierge desk via a hand-written sign up sheet. The new digital system not only creates a better user experience for the residents, but also allows for better management for the concierge team.

 

Scoping and planning 

The user flow for the booking system itself is a fairly rudimentary journey, but allows for a great deal of enhancement and personalisation as desired. It also considers functionality for reminders and notifications that offer the opportunity for further communication with the opted-in users.

Design 

The design centres around a minimal and look and feel, with the use of strong imagery and accents of colour that reflect the building style of the development. Having a minimal foundation with the branded touches being applied to elements, also means that the design lends itself well to a white-labelling and could easily be applied to other developments. The design also includes bold buttons and clear signposting to compliment the functionality and create a user-friendly interface.
